In 1967, 1969 and 1970 the club hosted the Cleveland Open. Arnold Palmer once battled the course while competing in this PGA event, and along with Bruce Devlin and Charlie Coody, still holds the course record of 64. The record was equaled in 2003 by the Club's then Head Professional, Gary Trivisonno and matched once again by Aurora Golf Club member Tom Laubacher in 2009.
